According to the US Government Bureau of Labor Statistics: Employment of nursing assistants is projected to grow 21 percent from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations. Our CNA program provides the hands-on training, practical experience and industry support you need.

About the Class

The Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) program at Touchstone Institute provides the hands-on training, practical experience and industry support you need to start a rewarding career as a Nurse’s Assistant. This is career-focused training where students learn the specific skills they need to assist patients and be an asset to the medical staff. The course is taught by working nursing professionals with years of on-the-job experience, so students gain the practical, up-to-date skills modern employers look for.

After completing this program students are fully prepared for and eligible for the State Certification Exam.

The course runs for 4 weeks and includes 90 hours of training. Of that, 50 hours are in our classroom and 40 hours of clinical experience is done at a nearby nursing home that we have a contract with.

Our 90-hour program provides you with a combination of classroom instruction, lab practice and industry internship. Our instructors are health professionals who are committed to helping individuals attain their goal of entering the health profession.

This course prepares you for the New Jersey State Department of Health Certified Nursing Assistant examination.
